Does chemo make it more difficult to walk?
My friend is going through chemotherapy treatment and complaining that he cannot walk as well as before and needs a cane
Everybody reacts differently and depending on the type of chemo and the duration of the treatment, it could leave a person very weak and feeling sick. After treatment is over it can take weeks for a person to regain their strength. Chemotherapy drugs are literally toxic and they take a toll on your body and your immune system. A person is often left with ling term side effects such as peripheral neuropathy (numbness in the extremities) and permanent hearing loss and tinitus. It's one of those things where the benefits outweigh the risks.
